This was the first piece i painted after returning to painting, and it still holds a special place in my heart. I wanted to capture the quiet rhythm of a river on a grey, overcast day (some would call it typical british weather). The water flows calmly and steadily, with bright greens of trees and bushes in the foreground and background, inviting a sense of stillness, reflection, and gentle focus.
It's a simple, peaceful scene. A reminder that even on bleak days, calmness and steady flow are always present.
