Original acrylic painting - 16x20 inch
This piece began as a simple black and white zebra, but part way though the process I felt drawn to introduce a surge of chaos. It's safe to say, I'm so glad i listened to my intuition.
What emerged is a bold contrast between the calm, grounded presence of the zebra and the vibrant, graffiti -inspired background full of drips, raw texture, scrapes, symbols and shapes. The layered backdrop brings a sense of movement and funk, almost like a disco pulse running behind the scene. Adding personality, energy, and a slight rebellious edge, transforming the painting into something far more expressive than originally Intended.
Created over approximately 45 hours, this work was made with the intention of bringing life, character and rhythm into any space it inhabits. It's playful, a little chaotic, and unapologetically bold.
"ZeeBruh" refuses to just fade into the background.
